Banjar Valley Village Walk 8 Days: Delhi - Delhi

Off the well-trodden tourist trails but within easy reach of Delhi and Shimla, this walking tour offers an unforgettable experience of the remote Banjar Valley. Located in the south-east of the Kullu Valley, Himachal Pradesh. This unique journey allows you to amble through unspoilt remote villages and interact freely with local people, giving you a taste of the traditional life and culture of the Banjar Valley. Easy daily walks of between 3 and 5 hours, along with the village to village mountain trails, cover distances of about 10 to 12 km. Accommodation is provided in clean and comfortable village houses.

Walking in the Kumaon - 7 Days: Delhi - Delhi

The spectacular Kumaon region in the state of Uttarakhand, close to the border of western Nepal, is one of the best-kept secrets in the Himalaya. This unique trip involves gentle walking of 10 to 15 kilometres per day, with overnight stays in village homes. The trail takes you through small villages, farmland, forest and green valleys, with a diverse range of flora and fauna. The terrain is hilly but because the location is the Himalayan foothills (rather than mountains), the altitude or gradient is not overly demanding – suitable for anyone with reasonable fitness!

This is an ideal walk for families. The village and farm life are most interesting for kids of all ages and there is always a game of cricket which you will be welcome to join in.
Ideally, it’s worth adding a day or two-night stay at one of the lovely mountain lodges at end of the walk.
